Checklist
Employee asset handover checklist
Use this checklist when assigning company property to joiners and recovering it on exit. It works as a standalone operations list. Dayzen notes cover verified asset and FNF capabilities — not ITAM or MDM product claims.
Why handover discipline matters
Missing serial numbers and unclear condition notes create disputes at exit. A short assignment ritual at join time saves clearance delays during full and final settlement.
On assignment (joining)
Asset identified
Record type, make/model, and serial or asset tag before handoff.
Condition documented
Note scratches, battery health, accessories included, and any known defects.
Assigned to employee
Link the asset to the employee record and assignment date.
Acknowledgement / handover photos
Capture signature or digital acknowledgement; add photos if your process uses them.
Recorded in tracker
Ensure the assignment is visible in your asset register — not only in chat history.
On return / exit
Pending assets listed
Pull every open assignment for the employee before LWD.
Return scheduled before/on LWD
Book a return slot early enough for repairs or replacements if needed.
Condition check
Compare return condition to assignment notes; document differences.
Repair notes if needed
Log repair or write-off decisions so finance and IT share one story.
Clearance updated for FNF
Mark returns complete (or explicitly pending) on the settlement checklist.
Access / credentials related to the device
Coordinate with IT to revoke device-bound access. This is a generic IT step — not an MDM claim for Dayzen.
Where Dayzen helps
Dayzen asset management supports catalogs, assignment history, repair logs, handover photos, and employee self-service “my assets” views. Pending returns surface in lifecycle FNF worksheets so recovery is part of exit settlement.
